We gotta do WHAT to have a testimony?!

So... some people, if they admit it or not, have this absurd idea that in order to have a good testimony, you have to go through some crazy junk. I have to say now that this is NOT truth. You don't have to be a dealer, smoke pot, be a prostitute, or have a near death experience to have a "good" testimony. (Or to be saved just to make that clear.) It is true, however, that God uses people from those situations a lot. God uses prostitutes I think multiple times throughout the bible. Paul was a murderer and hunter of Christians before he became one himself. So yes, it is common for people with "bad" or "questionable" backgrounds to become Christians and have and interesting testimony for many. But for the people with average lives, the ones who have always been the goody goody... Your testimony is Just as Powerful as the others!

Christians hate WHO?!

Romans 9:13  As a Christian, I can speak with full confidence on this topic. There is the crazy idea that most people have heard and may even believe. It is the idea that Christians hate homosexuals. I chose the pic for this post because it shows how a small group of extreme, misguided Christians protest against homosexuals by saying that God hates gays. The unphotoshoped pic read "Homosexuals are Possessed by Demons". Its REALLY ticks me off that this small group of Christians give everyone else a bad view of Christianity and who God is. If my research is right, it actually started with a few Baptist churches in the middle of nowhere. The verse I've starting this post with is what I've even seen at the bottom of their "God hates Gays" signs. The verse reads: "13 As it is written: Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated." (HCSV) The problem with this verse is that they take it out of context. If you read the story they refer to, it has nothing to do with homosexuality. Esau was not gay. So God could not have hated him for being Gay.

New to blogging

Well, this is the beginning of me as a blogger. I have no experience in doing blogs or even journaling so I think this is gong to be pretty interesting. Most of my blogs will pretty much consist of my views and beliefs on various popular and not so popular topics. Be prepared though, many of these I can guarantee will be my views on religious opinions and truths. : ) Although, I think I need some ideas to get started. I could talk about so many things. What will they be? Idk, but they will be up soon. And I will try to keep posting each week. Maybe by friday? lol. Although, not every subject will be religious in nature. So that opens even more topics. hmmm Well, i'll figure it out, and you all will figure it out when i post. : )

Gods Love for those that seem to have none for themselves.

Well, I have the lyrics to Daddy's girl down here to kind reinforce what im gunna say. It basically has to do with self esteem and how you look at yourself. There seems to be way too many people that see themselves as low, not pretty enough, not popular enough, not worthy of anyone, not good enough, not skinny enough. Its very, very sad to see. But all of those people miss one very important fact, that there is a God out there that loves them, care for them, and wants to be a part of their life! We are not created by mistake, or by chance. God created us Exactly the way he intended us to be, and to Him we are a beautiful creation! When God created us He said at the end of that day what he saw was very good! Although at the end of every other day what he saw on each day was good. I dont think thats coincidence. God's love is displayed for us all throughout the bible AND in our lives. And he loves all of you! Even the person who wants to die. Even the person who never had a relationship. Even the person who sells themselves. Even the person who hates the world. Anyone curious as to how to have that relationship, ask me. The song is on YouTube so anyone can look it up. And actually its on my playlist at the bottom of the page.
