Christians hate WHO?!

                  Romans 9:13  As a Christian, I can speak with full confidence on this topic. There is the crazy idea that most people have heard and may even believe. It is the idea that Christians hate homosexuals. I chose the pic for this post because it shows how a small group of extreme, misguided Christians protest against homosexuals by saying that God hates gays. The unphotoshoped pic read "Homosexuals are Possessed by Demons". Its REALLY ticks me off that this small group of Christians give everyone else a bad view of Christianity and who God is. If my research is right, it actually started with a few Baptist churches in the middle of nowhere. The verse I've starting this post with is what I've even seen at the bottom of their "God hates Gays" signs. The verse reads: "¹³ As it is written: Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated." (HCSV) The problem with this verse is that they take it out of context. If you read the story they refer to, it has nothing to do with homosexuality. Esau was not gay. So God could not have hated him for being Gay.
                            

                 I'm just going to go ahead a say that "Christians" who say that God hates gay people are WRONG! God does not hate his own creation. In fact, He loves humanity. He LOVES homosexuals. Now, thats not to say he doesn't hate the sin. And let me make clear, homosexuality IS a sin. It is not natural, and it is not the way God designed humans to function or behave. There is a reason men and women are physically different. lol Leviticus 18:22 is a command from God to Moses that specifically instructs us against homosexuality, "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable." (HCSV) So, God hates the sin. He does not hate the sinner. A very popular verse, John 3:16, says that god loves the world. So much so that He send his Son to save it. Verse 17 goes on to say that He didn't send Jesus to judge it, but he sent Him to SAVE it. I think its obvious that God cares for all the people of this earth even gay people. So if you ever hear some "Christian" say that God hates gay people, don't listen. They don't know what they're talking about. And most likely, they don't listen to the book in which Christianity is based today. If they did, they would see that instead of attacking people, Jesus tells us to love each other as He has loved us.  ref. John 15:12
